The exhibition illustrates the transmedia approach of Rebecca Moccia’s practice by presenting a series of recent works that range from thermal imaging, to weaving, to photography. Works created between Japan, the United States, South Korea, England and Italy, as part of her extensive research on the emotional state of loneliness and its politicization (Ministry of Loneliness 2022-2024).
A central presence in the installation is a large-scale tapestry in wool and recycled plastic fibers created in collaboration with Giovanni Bonotto, through which the artist enters into dialogue with the fifteenth-century frescoes of the building.
A recurring event, in the historic Palazzo Borromeo during Milan Art Week, in collaboration with LCA Law is art!, Galleria Mazzoleni, Apice, ARTE Generali. The Gothic frescoes of the famous “stanza dei giochi” dialogue with the contemporary art installations and the Antonini Milano jewels.
